This Privacy Policy explains what information Rabbit Bricks (operating aitoolsapex.com, the “Site”) collects when you visit, how that information is used, and the rights you have over it. We try to keep this page in plain language; legal complexity should not be the price of understanding what we know about you.
Who we are
Rabbit Bricks is an independent publication covering the AI tools market. The Site is operated from the Republic of Korea. The data controller for personal information collected on this Site is Rabbit Bricks, contactable at [email protected].
What we collect and why
1. Server logs (automatic)
Like every website, our servers and Cloudflare CDN automatically record:
- IP address (used for security, abuse prevention, geographic CDN routing — retained 30 days)
- User-agent string (browser/OS — used for compatibility analysis)
- Request URL, referer, status code, timestamp
This data is processed under the legitimate interest legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) for security, performance, and aggregate analytics.
2. Analytics — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to understand which content readers find useful. GA4 sets cookies and reports aggregate metrics: pageviews, session count, country, device type, traffic source.
We have configured GA4 with the following privacy defaults:
- IP anonymization is enabled.
- Consent Mode v2 is configured to deny ad-storage, ad-user-data, and ad-personalization by default. Analytics_storage is granted by default for aggregate measurement.
- No advertising features (remarketing, demographics) are enabled.
- Data is retained 14 months in GA4 (the minimum default).
You can opt out of GA4 by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Email subscriptions — Beehiiv
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and optionally your name) through Beehiiv, our email-service provider. Beehiiv hosts the data and sends emails on our behalf.
We use this data only to:
- Send newsletter editions you opted in for.
- Send confirmation, account, or transactional emails.
- Measure aggregate engagement (opens, clicks) to improve content.
You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. Unsubscribing removes you from active mailing lists; Beehiiv may retain a suppression record to honor your opt-out.
Beehiiv’s privacy policy is available at beehiiv.com/privacy.
4. Lead magnets (PDFs and toolkits)
To receive one of our free toolkits, you provide your email address. That email is added to our Beehiiv list (see Section 3) and you are tagged with the specific lead magnet you requested, so we can send relevant follow-up content. The same opt-out applies.
5. Comments and contact
If you email us, we keep that email in our inbox for as long as needed to handle the conversation. If you submit a comment (when comments are enabled), we keep the comment, name, and email per the WordPress comment system.
Affiliate cookies (third-party)
When you click an affiliate link, the destination website may set cookies on your browser to attribute the referral to us. These cookies are set by the merchant, not by us, and are governed by the merchant’s privacy policy. Common merchants and their policies:
- Amazon: Privacy Notice
- Other merchants: refer to their published privacy policy
You can block affiliate cookies via your browser’s tracking-protection settings or by using a privacy-focused browser.
Advertising
As of the “Last updated” date, the Site does not display third-party display advertising (Google AdSense, Mediavine, etc.). If we add ad networks in the future, this section will be updated and the privacy policy will list the providers.
